2025: Consulting and exec producing sci fi book experience for Penguin Random House

;

In 2025 Limina Immersive worked with Transworld (Penguin Random House) to shape the strategy and creative direction for an industry-first VR experience – a companion VR experience for a sci fi book launch. The novel is Artificial Wisdom by Thomas R. Weaver and is set in the 2040’s and 50s, exploring the themes of climate change and AI power. Acting as executive producer and consultant, we defined the brief and worked closely with stakeholders to ensure the experience aligned with both the narrative world of the book and the commercial goals of the launch.

After developing the brief, we brought in leading XR developer Zubr, working closely with them to delivery. The resulting experience invites participants to step inside a virtual crime scene, exploring the penthouse of the main character and uncovering clues to her murder. Designed for accessibility and first-time VR users, the experience translated complex themes of AI, power, and neurotech into a format that blurs the boundary between reader and participant.

Limina’s role combined strategic advisory with hands-on delivery: guiding how immersive technology could meaningfully extend the story, shaping the content and user journey and overseeing execution to ensure quality. We also trained Penguin Random House staff how to exhibit the experience in person, with a special attention paid to end user duty of care.

This project demonstrates how Limina Immersive supports organisations not only to understand emerging technologies but to then apply them in ways that are both culturally resonant and commercially effective.
